The Thurles three mile chase at 13:55 looks like a bit of a grind. I sort of think most of them will looking for some place to lie down at the end. Maybe the course and distance winner Western Promise can run a big race here, especially as he likes the deep ground. Just as well that they set off in the early afternoon, some of them will be lucky to make it home for tea.
I really like the 14 year old Nozic today on the heavy ground at Lingfoeld and the double figures around is very fair. Long in the tooth but a classy horse in his day, and returned in fair form at Leicester. They wanted to run him at Leicester since but that got pulled and this looks ideal compensation for him
Can we play the "What horse will Pricewise put up in his Champion Hurdle preview tomorrow" game? I'll start with .................................... Hurricane Fly e/w <run> Just joshing - has to be Jezki doesn't it?
Happy New Year to all. Is Jezki any value at a best priced 6/1?!? I think the old boy has a very tough brief finding any value in that particular market. I’d guess he’d go for something each-way at a big price. Arctic Fire (33’s) or Purple Bay (50/1) perhaps. Incidentally regular readers these are my guesses as to who Pricewise will pick not, I say not, recommendations from yours truly. No need therefore to fill out the old betting slip and dash down to trade with your favourite bookie chappie.
Thought I’d add a touch of class and put up a picture of the forum’s favourite trainer, Oddy. Incidentally, one Grade 1 race ran in the UK so far in 2015 and no surprise who trained the victor...Mr Henderson, of course. Is there no end to this mans brilliance?!?
I wonder if Tom Segal will try and make a case for Irving? It would involve putting a line through Kempton obviously. and last season's supreme Novices too I suppose. So perhaps not. Aurore Destruval franked the Fighting Fifth form on Saturday though.
Good spot Nass. I heard the owner on the radio a couple of weeks ago tipping him up for that postponed Leicester run . I'm on .. fingers x'd.
Going for the place market today just as a little monitoring exercise Firstly I will try your holiday is over in the 130 at mus
Spiker The Biker in the 13:55 Thurles. e/w at currently available 10/1. Hope he can at last get his head in front under Rules in this mud slog.
I see Paddy Power have gone NRNB on the four Championship races at the Festival. Might be time to get my feet wet.
