The only word to describe that race was carnage!!Great finish though!!

Carnage! The fav brought my pick down on the first circuit. Folsom Blue would have won but for that last fence broadside. Must be tough for Gary OBrien to have to carry on presenting on ATR after that. Robbed.

Such a shame for Bellshill, if he'd jumped the last straight I'm sure he would have won it. Ran an absolute belter, just didn't see it out on the ground.

Didn't see the race - was on Bellshill but by the sound of it, the weight got the better of him in the run-in.

Irish National:

Isleofhopendreams 16/1 ew 5 places. Was second in the Grand national trial at Punchestown and beaten only 1.5 lengths by Folsom Blue. Is 4lb better off at the weights with that rival and will have no problem with the ground and trip.

Moulin a vent 33/1 ew 5 places. I am surprised this one is as big as he is in the betting. Stand out form for me is that he beat Monbeg Notorious back in December in a beginners chase at this course by 18 lengths at level weights and has a decent weight pull with that rival today. Providing he is not too inconvenienced by the ground I m expecting a big run at a juicy price.

If he d have jumped it straight he would have still been collared just before the finishing line - no way would he have won it!. Out on his feet and demoted to 5th ..

I'm not a huge fan of Dessie Scahill but I thought he handled the carnage quite well in the Irish National. He's got no fookin chance in this race though the poor bugger. He can have a brew for half the circuit.
