    Plumpton 4.00 Dream Baie

Hasn't run bad at Plumpton several times in handicaps before a break. Now 4lb lower than when a 3rd at this track last outing. Local trainer Michael Roberts has been doing well at Plumpton over the last 5 seasons and can ready one back from a layoff. Its Tom O'Brien's only booked ride today (knows the horse well). It will be interesting to see if there is some market support for Dream Baie today.

    Plumpton 3.30 Nesterenko

Very well handicapped on hurdles form. Was fancied last 2 runs. Didn't run that bad without winning last runs over fences. I've the feeling Venetia Williams has found the right race today to get Nesterenko's head in front over fences. Stable amongst the winners at Cheltenham recently.

They seem to start winning when I stop backing them so hit the rocks and Glenn for Gary Moore at plumpton.

What a dodgepot he is, he could hack up from this mark but he’s not a good jumper of fences and he seems quite soft when asked for his finishing effort. Must be a frustrating horse for them as he’s got some talent

This is a drop in quality from his latest Chepstow run and I can forgive a bad run on heavy going at Chepstow. The yard are in fine form and today looks more suitable.

His Chepstow win reads well for me too, beating Good And Hardy into third and Just A Thought in second. With a good gap back to Dr Des (won since) in fourth. What impressed me as well that day was that he made up ground having been impeded, suggesting he was possibly worth a little more than the winning distance suggested.

    afternoon,folks!

    kelso,1 15:

well, these maiden races get shock results from time to time,as you dont know, what lurks in it,improvement-wise,but,as Things stand, this should be a match between MAID IN MANHATTAN and sirwilliamwallace.both have already shown some aptitude for this game, but slight Preference is for the former, who brings solid flat form to the table, and made a good start to her hurdling Career, when second to a useful rival two starts back.made no Show, when falling last time out, but,if None the worse for that Spill, should make amends today.also gets a Handy Mares allowance, and is with a good Yard,so definite Claims here.

GLENO is a bit of a mixed bag,but his second last run in second Looks quite good,in the context of this race.not badly treated for that effort,so has a good shout today.

For future reference this is what the trainer said when interviewed before the race.
“This is one of the very few horses in our yard that doesn’t go in heavy ground. We are only running here because it is the trainers local track and they wanted a runner”

They said the same before it’s last run I think I remember now. Surely it’s a wellbeing issue

To be fair up until today the ground was drying out they were expecting better ground but they were honest with its chances.

    Wolverhampton 5.30 Decoration Of War

The money was down on this one several times last runs with a disappointing outcome for the supporters. I still strongly believe this shrewed stable will get him back in the winners enclosure soon. Handicap mark should give him every chance and maybe the talented Alistair Rawlinson gets on better with the horse this time than Luke Morris. Up in trip worth a try.
