My Triumph Hurdle hope from last season Duffle Coat is entered in the 7.15 at Galway - currently 2nd reserve and hard to fancy after 254 days absence. Nice to see he is entered though and hope he can prove his well-being if he gets a run.

    Newton Abbot 1.30 Vanderbilt

    Course form reads 3232234

Not beaten far in most of this runs. Theo Gillard who knows the horse well takes off valuable 5 lb. Remains on a career-low mark. Vanderbilt seems to be a very solid each way option in this. Hopefully can get his head in front today.

Oh didn't know that. Wish you a good run and that it comes out of the race well and safe.

    15:45 Newton Abbot - Maxcel

(Progressive type and could end up the favourite in this event. Not much else catches the eye today. Windsor another of those tracks where winners can be difficult to find, so I'll leave that alone. Good luck today to all having a punt.)

In the upcoming race at Newton Abbot Outlaw Jack looks interesting. Won well 2 runs ago at Fontwell on quick going. Next run 24 hours later surely came to soon. Stable in the money with last 3 runners. Could have been freshened up for this.

Just the old mugs double for me at Windsor with two top weights.

In the 6.25 Evasive Power looks sure to go close and he ran well at Newmarket last time when third. His profile appeals most in a spotty looking race and it's hard to imagine him being too far away on the same 85 mark as his last run. The Brisland stable is having a good spell.

In the 7.25 Mafia Power has only ever won once but faces an ordinary looking bunch. He has run in the 82-84 range on his last five starts and you get the feeling a similar effort might suffice this evening.

9/4 and 2/1 adds up to just shy of a 9/1 double.
