Turkey and bacon baguette with stuffing and cranberry chutney (sounds revolting but was actually one of the most delicious things I’ve ever ate). The supporting cast was a banana and a bucket of water. 10/10. Royal King, meanwhile, has been put in a 0-55 on Friday evening. As he’s perched on 54 should have absolutely no problem this time (finally!) with making the cut. Good luck all.
Oh and while I’m on another key entry on Friday and this is deffo most exciting is Herculean, Fair Eva’s full brother. I’ve long loved this horse and it is very noteworthy that connections have already secured the services of the best in the business – old boy Ryan. On Friday Herculean will be monikered with that terrible old cliché – ‘a Group horse in a handicap’. But in his case it will be True with a very large capital ‘T’!
Favs day at Plumpton, with rudebwoy on King Cnut as my banker there. Others I fancy today: 3.40 Win FRESH TERMS 3.00 Pont DEJA 5.00 Pont SO NEAR SO FARHH 3.30 Pont I'LL HAVE ANOTHER
hi fellas! plumpton,2 20: not much between the two main contenders here,JUMPING JACK and kapdad, but ive found an interesting piece of form, regarding the former:he was second last time out, which is already probably good enough form, but the 4th that day, garo de julliey, went on and won the silver trophy at chepstow next time out.thats a real boost for chris gordons horse,i think,so he gets the vote today..
Vegetable stew with sprouts which I elevated from an average 6/10 to a spicy 8/10 with lashings of tabasco sauce
plumpton,2 50: a rather weak contest, but one, that might be just right for BAILEY SUNSET.hasnt shown much since joining this yard, but its still early days with him,and surely capable of winning a race like this, especially, with a low mark to exploit..also wasnt a bad sort earlier in his career in ireland..
plumpton,3 20: KRISTAL HART is the obvious one here, and shes got a lot going for her.has gone up in the weights, but not too excessively,so may still have more in the locker..
Remnants of last nights home made Special fried rice, pimped up today with some extra splashes of Tabasco Sauce... Must have been that type of day then Oddy... It was a 7/10 lunch...
In the 5:30 at Pontefract am intrigued, and not a little astounded, at the short price of Pennsylvania Dutch, even though it is just a Class 4 affair. Has had an awful season, only the second time he has ever raced over 5f, almost always traps badly over the 6f events he has competed in, etc. If, and it's a big if, he does get away well for a change, he could well surprise on this good-to-soft/soft-in-places testing ground. Most certainly not one to rely on though.
