7.15 Windsor-Stealth Fighter

Each Way @ 13-2 [Bet 365]

Like the jockey booking

This has to be one of the worst cards assembled on a flat day for years , scanned the cards last night , not one animal winked at me !!
Even nass and his great comp can’t hide the fact this is a desperate punters day

The first race at Ponte is probably the most “exciting” and that says it all. Round The Island is really intriguing in that race, given course form. However he should be bigger that 12/1 on his recent form.

Not So Shy, Wolverhampton, 3.45 ew @ 100/1. Yes the racing today is dire but there will still be a winner of every race. Not So Shy is 17 race maiden but her 3 best bits of form are over 6 furlongs, 2 of which were at Dunstall Park. She is 7lb better off with Deconso (without factoring in the 7lb claimer) for a 2 length beating in February this year. That one is 14/1. A little bit ew on the rank outsider to outrun her odds.

In the 5.00 Pontefract I initially thought not to get involved in the Lady Amateurs race but looking last night I saw that Celtic Artisan was running. I felt the horse was left with an awful lot to do when running on into 3rd behind Street Poet at Wolverhampton. I know nothing of jockey Emily Bullock but she has had a couple of winners from a relatively small number of rides and the horse is an old hand at the game. On a reasonable mark and at 10/1 last night looked a bit bigger than should have been the case. I thought Celtic Artisan might go close in an open affair.

5.00 Pontefract Celtic Artisan 15/2

Stone last. Sometimes they're 100/1 for a reason :emoticon-0119-puke:

I thought Celtic Artisan was just going to get up but the jockey on Edgar Allan Poe managed to summon a good late spurt on the inside to win it, so second place it was. The more experienced jockey won but I thought Emily Bullock gave Celtic Artisan a decent enough ride. Another good effort from Celtic Artisan and therefore no respite from the handicapper for an honest performance.
