Morning, crew. Well, troops, I think it’s now safe to say that Corrin Wood wasn’t as ridiculously well handicapped (or indeed well handicapped) as I first thought! Either over hurdles or the big ‘uns. At first glance 4th in the ‘Tommy Whittle’ sounds highly respectable but he was a whopping 30 lengths behind the victor. Very difficult to gauge where they will go with the old boy now. Saturday was, of course, dominated by the handicap performances of Yala Enki and Brain Power and must confess both made me exclaim, ‘Cor bally blinkin’ blimey’. They won off 139 and 149 respectively and both now look set for a rise into the high 150’s. If both continue to improve they could end up being on the cusp of CGC and Champion Hurdle contenders either this term or next. Good luck to those have a punting punt today.
Stick any news on Attwaters in the penultimate race? On his day he would win this with a bit in hand but he would get the old timeform squiggle from me.
Fit and well but in all honesty only puts it in when HE wants too. You pay your money and you take your chance.
Ah, only saw thru Twitter, so didn't see that caveat. Some diplomacy skills required by Mr Tizzard one would imagine with the small matter of the million quid bonus....
He'll run, I'm sure of it. If you look at the type of horse the Snooks buy, this must be a dream for them. They buy stock horses with the aim of getting a Gold Cup winner. Christ, what will Tizzard be thinking if they come off the final bend together with those 3 fences up the straight to take ..................................
