To all these people shouting MoN out! You say he's ****, you'll point out his short comings but I read very little in terms of a solution from you. What the hell would you do? When you've had very little time, few windows to do business and limited transfer funds. He can't just wave a magic wand any more than you can. You 'MoN out crew' are an absolute embarrassment, just like them fans at Blackburn, if you don't trust (let's face it. What's a relationship without trust.) the club to make an appointment and implement his vision than what kind of supporters are you? As a supporter of this great club could you not bite your uneducated lip and show your club some respect and give the man time? The most demented thing is most of you lot shouted for his appointment, clearly not even having the intelligence to look at what type of manager you're nominating. He was a defensive, counter-attacking manager before he came here, he was that type of manager when he signed up and by gum he's that sort of manager now. So you can't be surprised when he constantly lines us us defensively, esp as we don't have a good enough defence to play the beautiful, entertaining attacking football you armchair managers would bring if you were put in charge with your little magic football wands. Just give him a couple of more seasons to make HIS team work. if/when HIS team fails, than call for his sacking, at least that way you can be respected in your opinions. In the meantime you're acting like petulant children throwing your toys out of the pram cause we're not winning. You're embarrassing me, yourselves, Sunderland fans as a whole and our club. For Shame!
Well said, if somewhat antagonistic? everybody has the same end goal, success at our beloved club, people vent their dissapointment in different ways, the players, the manager, the board, some even blame the fans, the pitch, the ref, pink seats, the trees at the aol. it doesn't matter because its all about opinion. thats what we are here for. Me personally, i blame the stewards!
If he went who would we get. We would have to start again MON is doing a job give him time.its still early days in hi tenure time will tell.
i still think he will get it right, starting on sunday! not sure if i have mentioned this? we must beat Norwich!
Git!! i read the title and was "about bloody time" then read it and thought "up your own arse much". I am not following someone into oblivion did we do that with Wilkinson and Mcnemamy nope so i am not going to do it with MON i dont care what his previous track record is like if he is ****ing up the club i love i will say he is ( i havnt yet but its a free country so i am well within my rights to do so if i want to) and you or noone else will stop me doing it. tbh the game has gone silly, the players are so far removed from the fans its not even funny anymore its great when everything is going swimmingly but a few bad results and they are overpaid pieces of **** who dont try and dont have a clue but then surely that is up to this master tactition who we have in MON to put right????
So what would you do? Cause just saying 'whatever' perhaps proves my point does it not? The m'on effect; I know it comes across antagonistic but I'm frustrated. I wouldn't mind if people could offer a constructive solution but as fu king has just proved, some people just aren't capable of that. Nothing to back up the **** they talk it would seem.
I'm not up my own arse, I'm giving my backing to my manager and giving him time and saying why I think others are wrong. is that not tha nature of opinion and debate. I agree with you mate that players are so far removed from it's fans but I don't think alienating them further would help. Take the fan who confronted Bruce at the dug out, I wanted Bruce gone but that was just embarrassing for the club. I just think the team deserve better conduct from the fans and I don't think negative comments without constructive arguments help. Just my opinion and obviously doesn't apply to everyone so don't take it personally mate
there are loads of suggestions in many threads, but you have to admit, most of the frustrations vented at MON are fairly well justified tbh, 1 example of this was his public statement of a small squad : its now smaller than it was before, our bench was a disgrace v qpr no attacking options and campbell, Ji and connor scoring for fun. I really do not get this! the manager has done this whichever way you look at it. so from that point of view i'm perplexed with him. His substitutions piss me off His team selections piss me off His interviews sometimes piss me off But he manages Sunderland AFC whom i love and from top to bottom I will support that club. He still has my backing for now, and i really hope we are still in the prem and hes still our manager come the seasons end
Not at all, the 'whatever' remark was aimed at your self righteous post... You say no time and no money, well how about 3 transfer windows, and over a year and a quarter.. The game has moved on, and now he is relying on his past success, but apart from his early flurry, has shown little that he is capable of pulling the club out of the mire. It was the season to move onwards, now clinging for survival. I havn't quite gone as far yet as to call for his head, but wouldn't bat an eyelid if he went. Mind as for a replacement, i've no idea, someone a bit younger and more modern thinking, how about that fella that ston gave the unfair boot to?
hmm you called the MON out crew (didnt even know there was a crew) an embarrasment and your opinion was all that mattered or thats the way it came accross. you say he has had no cash Fletcher 12 million Johnson about 12 million Graham 5 million Ndaiye 4.5 million 33.5 million is a canny outlay in my book and most are just not very good if truth be told. He spends OTT but he doesnt get a lot back from selling he has been like that wherever he has went I am more worried about SAFC with MON in charge than i ever was with Bruce (spent 10 million in 2 1/2 years and we had a better squad/strike force anyway imho) I wanted MON 7 years ago before we got Keane but he turned us down and 3 months later was Villa manager as we were not good enough ever since then i havnt wanted him and everyone goes on about stability and keeping the same manager he is 61 for crying out loud how long can he last (and dont say look at SAF as he is a one off)
As I have stated a few times with reasoning, I would go for Martinez. He is at a tiny club who are already punching above their weight just being in the premier league and on a shoestring budget as well. Instead of looking at what he has achieved, look at the style of football he plays, its along the floor, it's quick, modern, attacking. Bring that to Sunderland with better quality of players and a bigger budget, I reckon he could really push himself out there if he were giving a chance with us.
That's the most self righteous, sanctimonious pile of ****e I've ever read. Well apart from the Ministry of Defense & those bastards up at the JCP like. Oh aye & the babblers, they talk a load of **** too. Nice chatting, .
ok then campbell, moreso, but they would still be back up, and incidently they are both better records than Grahams
I'd rather watch us go down playing attractive football, than watch us go down serving up the **** we are now under O'Neill. How about a manager who's worked on a very tight budget all his career, born in Sunderland, hero as a dad, Nigel Clough. Couldn't be worse than O'Neill.
