Dear James, The first goal was always going to be a big one. We ran out of legs and looked tired â they were much stronger than us. Itâs been a big effort by the team, but today we came unstuck and Everton deserved to win. We were missing Nicklas Bendtner, but we should have been able to get on with that. We have had to make changes a lot of times this year, with players playing out of position â but thatâs no excuse because we were well beaten today. We tired more quickly than I had anticipated. A few senior players were carrying injuries going into the game - [Lee] Cattermole and [Phil] Bardsley â but they wanted to play and then early on in the second half you could see they were struggling. Theyâve got good hearts and they wanted to play. I think sometimes the scoreline can be misleading. However, we have been beaten 4-0 and, I think, deservedly so. All the best, Martin O'Neill Earlier this morning I read this about Clint Dempsey. Most impressive â is that heâs played 2,874 minutes this year out of a possible 2,880. The most minutes by any midfielder or forward in the Premier League. Heâs only missed 6 minutes of action in 32 games. 6 minutes. We looked very tired today, but fookin' hell when I read that about Dempsey it makes you wonder.
Its alot harder playing with knocks though. Im not saying dempsey hasn't had knocks but some players are lucky with injuries, some are cursed.
Clint Dempsey is ****in awesome...............i'd swap him for any member of our squad............yes any........... As for being tired................give me ****ing strength............professional players, who simply can't preform...........
We lost, so we gotta move on. All in all Im enjoying this season, havent done that for a long long time.
