Take a look at this from the SUN. A little surprised by the words, but it was what I was thinking myself, must admit. O'Neill was even more upset about the opportunities his side squandered, with James McClean missing an open goal and Craig Gardner and Bendtner also snatching at presentable chances. He blasted: "We missed at least five really good opportunities and I think that's too many. "I know scoring a goal is pretty difficult but it's not that difficult. "A blundering full-back could've stuck a couple of those in - from about four leagues below." Insisting he would not panic buy in the January transfer window as a result, he added: "I don't think your immediate reaction would be to race out to get somebody who could score 20 goals. He'd only cost about £35million anyway." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...illas-Boas-heaps-praise-on-Frank-Lampard.html
I think its typical MON, great players, arm round shoulder, back all the way, BUT, they are apid to do a job and they need to know that not doing it is unacceptable. Will Mclean, Gardner and Bendtner be thinking I dont like that bastard, if they do they can go, or will they be thinking ****, I dont want to upset him, he is right and I must get it right next time. What about players like Sess who made the chances, I bet they are thinking to true mate, I set them up and epect them to be taken.
He is a very clever manager and he is right. On another day we would have won 3-1 again. That's football though they could have been given 2 pens and we could have lost 3-0. One thing is for sure in Sess, McLean and Larsson we have the supply. We just need the finish, if we still had judas we would be a top 8 side pushing for top 6
To me Marty knows exactly what we need. Step forward up to the plate young Connor & Fraizer. Could save us millions. I like the reference to £35m, ring any bells?
