particularly like this bit : We are not a top-six team by any stretch of the imagination, but Sunderland is a top-six club in the making. I genuinely believe and I’ll believe that until the day I leave this earth.”
We have top team stadium, top team academy, top team owner and top team fans however, we have a bottom teams players, (arguably manager) coaching staff and scouting network. We are a good few years away from a top team mate even top six unfortunately. MON has this season to keep us up (still think he'll do it mind) but, after that he needs to sit down with ES and get the bottom team stuff sorted and quickly or we will never amount to much and, go from season to season just surviving until the inevitable relegation and fall through the leagues. Lets hope ES listens to MON and they get it right, anyway time for drinkies as watching us sober is not the best idea in the world.
Thing is I believe the size of the club and the backing we have and let's not forget fan base we should be around that sort of mark , maybe top 8
Does anyone start nice and early ,10 this morning I pulled out the bells a dash of coke and I'm getting fired up ,anyone start earlier or do I just have a drink issue lol
How's he gonna achieve all this then? Maggie Byrne has all but said there'll be little money available. We can look forward to maybe 1 or 2 decent signings & more free's & loans. Even if we do manage to get Rose, Levey will sting us for every penny he can get.
had a livener at 10am, just filled my hipflask with JD and just about to head out the door. See yas all later!
Margaret Byrne may be boxing clever. I think our summer spending spree will depend on a number of things. The new fair play rule, how much does ES want success and does ES trust MON. We may sell Mig to bring 2-3 quality players in. I hope not but he is easily our most saleable asset.
she said we are gonna splash the cash mate http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/s...oing-to-splash-the-cash-again-61634-32909155/
Read between the lines. Splash the cash was the Journals headline. She said we'll be busy. Two different things mate. If you think we're going back to the Roy Keane days of lashing out 40-50m quid then you're deluded.
