Well, for those stuck at home....looks like our favourite Scuse is in...and Bishop which is better news. Thing is with Henshall on bench do we guess Tabb out wide again?!

Important game today...win it and win it in style, will set us up nicely for next 5 in rapid succession. Lose it in an ugly scrap......!

Excited as ever with 5 mins to kick off!

    Come on Ipswich!!!
Not surprised to see Skuse walk straight back in but at least Bish keeps his place. I'm also pleased to see Chambo move into the middle to allow us to play with two proper full backs. Let's see how it pans out. Not pleased to see Tabb on the left again, maybe it's to counteract having Bish keep his place. Later in the game when Teddy tires we can move Tabb into the middle and bring in Henshall.

Cant comment Weighty as obviously not savouring PR half time buzz...but what I do hear, and alot..is Bish coming forward, passing forward threading the ball up field to feet. Something we have sorely missed..for years!

    GET IN !!!!!!!!!!

Spanish can't be happy, 3 points on the board ;) haha ! :D

" Smith being dropped is a disgrace on the other hand "

Disagree - Chambers / Berra are our best two cbs in my eyes, and I'd rather us play with full backs. Chambers has done okay at RB but nothing more so than this. Smith's distribution lets him down for me. Happy for that to be our back four if Mings plays well and isn't a liability!

Hardly banging them in though are they!

Berra is a better Striker than Murphy!

    Opening day of the season??

But, great to see Bish getting a game at PR.. I imagine Mick will rotate so he gets to give us some impetus at home but Hyam & Skuse play the away games to give is more resilience.

Which I would probably say is a wise move but I've had a few and I'm sure I'll change my time if we lose the next few <laugh>

I'd go with that, plus having Berra on the left gives better cover and support to Mings.

Counago on his day was one of our best in my book..tho he did leave the office early too often!

I am sure Murph and Dids will continue to flow and firm up their partnership, but always good to see the midfield score too.

Mings growing in confidence clearly, beginning to do what Cressy did so well. Bish a gem and will thrive. For me not too upset at Smith being given a breather...perhaps not at his best so far this season, but with his loyal service and great experience for last 3-4 difficult seasons, so good to have him as back-up and fighting for his place.

I was puzzled by Henshall not being used at all. And Hyam coming on to rest Bish not a bad sub!

I am encouraged by things...tho like others unhappy at the devotion to Skuse.

    How did he play then?

And, yes, it would be great if we could get Williams back...zip, pace, trickery..loads of free kicks!

If someone of his calibre came in, plus the entertainment value, I would remain confident of a top 6 push.

If we can see off the Seagulls Tuesday, my glass at least will be half full!!<cheers><cheers> Adnams of course...
