An unforgettable rollercoaster of a season now concluded has produced some of the most memorable moments for many seasons. What is your 'Moment of the season'? For me, it has to be Jamie Mackie's last minute winner against Liverpool which was the catalyst for our five match winning run at home that proved to be the key to our survival...
For me without doubt Barton cracking and showing himself up completely against City ...What a ****ing fraud. Adel was magic of course but we all know there is more to come
Has to be Cisse's winner against Stoke. I got married in 1996 and that was the first time since I EXPECTED and not just hoped our boys would succeed. John Motson's commentary on that should be a ring tone. 'Cisse... CISSE!'
Drogba's sending off at Loftus road. 1up and Chelsea down to 9 men. brilliant !! Jm's goal at Liverpool not far behind.
Moment of the season has to be wednesday 11th APRIL at 20:00 walking into the ANTIQUE TAVERN and seeing THREE QPR TOPS IN THERE.. IT NEARLY BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE.. I WASNT ALONE ANYMORE.. JM mackies goal wasnt too bad either...
save the sentimentality for another thread, this is serious stuff! adels goal against the spuds. not the prettiest but a league saver.
Football Moments - Final whistle at the Etihad DJ's goal at Wolves to put us three up Mackie v Blackburn Mackie v Liverpool Mackie v City Related Moments - Monster bag of homemade pork scratchings at the Hawthorns Veg Tikka pie at the Etihad My Gooner supporting brother calling me after we'd beaten them and sincerely saying he felt we'd outplayed the Arsenal Singing 'how **** must you be, we're winning away' at City
That Wolves game was the most complete performance of the season. The Arsenal game at home was superb but Wolves were in decent form and we absolutely tore them to pieces for 90 minutes. Faurlin and Barton were different class.
Indeed Watford, that was the game I think we all (prematurely as it turned out) thought 'this is it, we're back'
'We'll Race you back to London' at Old Trafford was a highlight for me. And the away support in general. I cant always make the home games but the general banter and great turn out we get for away days are fantastic.
