OK, we’re back again. Burnley game didn’t quite go as hoped, (understatement) we went from looking like world beaters at Sheffield to relegation fodder. Saturday will be another tough gig, but let’s remember, we have seven cup finals at home, all winnable games, the crowd have a massive part to play, let’s get behind the men in black & amber, no matter what…..that’s what a fan does! In times of trouble, back the team until the bitter end. Anyway, you know the drill, select your top three in order, over to you…..UTT Oh, PS. For the romantics on here, on this special day, to quote a phrase; Roses are red, violets are blue; the Tigers are back at the MKM, and they need you! Happy Valentines Day to all.
Right, ball is back in City’s court after result last night, we need to seize the opportunity/initiative. A tough gig v Norwich, but not impossible, 12th man so important today. Come on, back the men in black & amber. Come on you ‘Ull. UTT
1. Alzate - Everything went through him so well, always looks forward, occasionally sideways, but when he gets it back it’s forward. 2. McC - Looked decent at the back, although still not sure why Selles is preferring a CB at LB, there was a point in the first half where it looked like 3 at the back when Norwich had possession, but could just have been the way it was at that moment. 3. Jones - Defensively solid today, kept them out with well timed tackles. I was originally going to put Gelhardt in my top 3, but realised he started well, had a half chance towards the end, but didn’t really show anything outside of that. Crooks did well for the goal, but not enough. Slater really the only other player that started that did ok, bar one other starter, yes Coyle, not in the top 3, but definitely top 5.
Gelhardt - his best game for us Ithink. Pity he couldn’t cap it with a goal Jones - some great blocks Alzate - pure class as always
1. Gelhart - plenty of energy and always a threat going forward . 2. Mcloughlin- solid performance out of position , tackled and blocked well . 3. Alzate - another cool on the ball display. A hard earned point . Well done boys Come on City
