Some weeks this season it has been hard to narrow it down to three as virtually the whole team played well. Today its hard to find three performances that qualify. I'll name two....based largely on the effort they put into the game... Clucas....MOM again...never gave up. Snodders....gave it his all...never stopped running. Dishonorable mention....Marshall.... didnt even make an effort to dive on two of the goals (Lailana low trickler for the first and Mane's for the third), and should have saved one of the penalties which he dove over. Looked like McGregor in his slowness to get down for low balls. We need Jaks agility back in goal next week.
Suffered from broken streams so missed lots of the action but what I did see told me that we should have started without Dio and Meyler, also that Hernandez could do with someone playing a bit closer in support. Still, no disgrace being beaten by a very good side, get Chelski over with an we can hopefully settle down to some more positive results.
1. Marshall - did nowt wrong and plenty right. 2. Clucas - gave it a go, made some space. 3. Livermore - kept going. But of barrel scraping with the justifications, but them's the breaks. Mason was properly off the pace today and was lucky not to see red. Henriksen looked decent when he came on, although by then Liverpool had lit their cigars.
Snodgrass Marshall Mason Snodge made a 70 yard sprint to chase down an enemy player when we were 5-1 down. He did that all afternoon.
I can't believe anyone's voted for Meyler, does scoring a goal result in everything else being ignored?
