Robertson Livermore Hayden Sick of seeing our front players achieve **** all in 90 minutes away from home. The wingers toiled but created little. Robertson was the standout with some really good covering tackles and some good surging runs. No one else really took the ball forward.
We do make relatively average or even in some cases weak opposition look very decent away from home. No opposing side can claim that we don't show them the greatest respect on their home turf.
I didnt go but Im intrigued why you picked Jake and Hayden. Swanny reckoned Joey Barton was man of the match and ran the midfield?
Same three in the same order. Thought Meyler should have been introduced at some point today though, those conditions would have suited him down to the ground.
Well Swanny is talk out his arse as per usual. Barton did **** all, made a couple of rank 50 yard 'Hollywood' passes that went straight into touch, apart from that I can't remember him doing much. Livermore just ran out of steam in the end, he ran himself ragged today and put some crunching tackles in.
If Swanny told me letter boxes were red I'd have to go outside and check ............ the Wessie ****.
It was at the far end but if it was him then point made. He should have buried his chance. Honestly mate, how Swanny can say he ran the show is laughable.
They put a shift in and won tackles as always. I was struggling for 2nd and 3rd to be honest. As OLM said, Robertson was a long way ahead. As the possession showed, it was even in midfield. No one really 'ran' the game I wouldn't have said. We didn't create enough and rarely had them penned back, but when we did it was for a long time without creating much. I don't know who is to blame for our lack of dominance in away games. You could make an argument for it being down to the midfield not dominating possession, the wingers not creating enough or the strikers not getting into positions. I just went for individuals who seemed to do alright.
Hang on. City were the dominant force for practically all of that match, it was absolutely nothing like the horrors of Rotherham and Preston and Leeds. It felt like the first genuinely important promotion battle of the season, and we played pretty well and yielded only as a result of a keeper's blunder. 1. Robertson 2. Hayden 3. Odubajo
Very fine margins today. Thought there would only be one winner in the second half, a real sickener when they scored against the run of play. Robbo the pick of the bunch.
