1. Olifinjana - Every time he was on the ball, we looked like scoring. 2. Meyler - Looks a class above anything else we have in midfield (apart from Olifinjana) 3. Simpson - He couldn't do much more on the 3v1 counter.
1. Chester - Solid display, couldn't really do much about the goal 2. Faye - Motored on and was surprisingly good on the ball 3. Aluko - Always kept going but needs to learn when to be simple. Flicks and backheels are alright at 3-0 up, but no good when you are 1-0 down and chasing a game.
1. Chester 2. Faye 3. Brady I thought Chester and Faye handled everything really well, Austin didn't have a sniff all game. Their distribution is a different class at times to, Brady was the only one who took a man on, bit more confidence and i think we have a good player their.
Despite me not putting him in my top three, I think Brady warrants a mention, he looked like a potentially good left wing back today.
1. Chester 2. Faye 3. Brady The defence was only breached once all game and they took that chance. There wasn't much of a Burnley threat I suppose but we dealt with it very well. Going forward we achieved nothing and never kept the ball longer than a couple of passes. Brady, despite playing only half the game and at full-back, was probably our most effective attacking player.
1) Chester 2) Faye 3) Meyler/Brady I wouldn't normaly pick any player who was nt on the pitch for 90 minutes, but I think the impact of both Meyler and Brady was a steadying influence in the second half. Perhaps Meyler's performance did no more than show up Oli's poor show, for me his worst I ve seen in a City shirt. Indeed, Marney tore him to shreds in the first half and made look like an old man in a wheel chair. Meyler needs to adjust his game to the pace of the championship but for me he plugged the Oli gap perfectly when he came on. As for Brady, I think he gives us the left foot and speed that Rosenior doesn't have. He didn't need to do alot defensively on Saturday, but I wonder if that side of his game could be his achiles. I suppose what we need is a mixture of the two, but then that would give us Dudgeon!!!!!!
