If the game does go ahead please be aware there will be some disruption to food service, especially in corporate areas, due to the loss of cooking facilities as a result of the power cut.

We will provide further updates as soon as they are available.

All Molineux staff are asked to report as normal.

Is electricity actually necessary? I'm setting off from Birmingham in about 15 mins.

Of course it' necessary as it could affect things like alarm and safety systems. Plus we're getting to that time of year where floodlights might have to be used towards the end of the game.

I bet they didn't pay the bill, cheapskates.

Clearly they've never heard of backup supplies in Wolverhampton - although there's no telling how long they'd last either.

A lot of things of course relying on power in a football ground:

    Cooking facilities,
    Security facilities,
    Lighting
    Scoreboard
    etc etc...
