4 goals in 12 games for Hull last season.

Can be creative, run with ball, offers defensive quality.

    Worth a punt?

I like him but his recurring knee problem is a put off. I can see a lot of teams waiting to see how he does first half of the season injury wise before moving for him in Jan. Besides, I understand he may not even be fit to move fit window. I like the look of Leroy Fer. Can look a bit Lazy but pure quality. 6 goals and 4 assists for a box to box player in a relegated team are very good stats.

The fact Leroy Fer has been in two teams that went down tells me everything I need to know (next player could be Seb Larsson, and I bet nobody is ****ing going after him when that happens). How many players have been twice relegated with two different teams and gone on to have successful careers with big clubs (let's be honest, North East teams are about getting players through the door to keep them competitive and hopefully sell for a pretty buck or two in a season's time)? Fer is not a great player by any stretch. Useful squad player at maximum for me, but spare for the odd flash, he goes missing too often.

Diame was a class player. You're right though, knee injury ****ed him. More dependable version of Sissoko with a better end product. Would take him for a couple of million.

Ah, Leoroy Fer. Good pick. I've got to say I don't really like TJP's logic of "he's been in two relegated teams so he must be ****".

    Nah mate.

I agree. It takes a full squad and a Gaffer to relegate a team, not one player who's been relegated before. Bit one dimentional in thinking for me. I was following Fer before he came to the Premier League I wanted us to sign him back then. He's a beast, needs the right boss to keep him on his toes, he's not perfect but then we're never going to get perfect players. He just needs a bit of decent man management and he'll be a very good player at this level imo. I'd prefer Diame but not until I knew he was over that knee problem. It's always worrying when they recur.

Typical of you lad, attack the man, not the argument because you have **** all to say back to my point... You can't name a player who has been relegated twice with two different teams and achieved anything with a big club.... There's a theme with the clubs that sign players from those falling through the trap door... Don't last too long themselves, or at best teeter on the edge for year after year, achieving nowt... "I followed him before the premier league and he was a beast"... <laugh> The Dutch league? ****ing Altidore, muppet!

Hope you lot get him <ok>

Grow up man, nobody is attacking you. I just don't like debating with you because you go on like this. It's why I avoid you.<doh>

    Seems a sound enough move.
I'm sure there'll soon be space on the treatment table for him.

Sorry Funky but have to strongly disagree with you on that one. We managed to get relegated a few years back and no way did we have a full squad.

before the injury took hold he looked a real quality player for us.

He can ghost past players and drive into the box, fantastic shot etc. He's even very very quick on the ball so once he's passed someone they can't get near him. I truly believed we would have comfortably avoided the drop if he hadnt been injured.

As Phunky says though I can't see you taking the risk at this stage, his knee might be completely shot. If however he can come back and get a run of games we'll get loads of offers, as I can see him tearing the league up if he's near top form.
