Have to say that this guy impressed me last week and if that performance was anything to go by, he may just cause us even more problems this week. Predictions aside, I think he looks a good player. Is this one we could possibly look at in the summer or am I dreaming?

Young, 20 years of age I believe, pacey, great feet, can play on the right and cut in, could possibly play left as he's a lefty and has an end product. Be a great back up/understudy for Lennon or dare I say as a replacement for Bale (not necessarily if we sell him, but to fill the left wing void seeing he's gone more central).

Currently valued at around £3-4m according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/undefined/suche/ergebnis.html?quicksearch=Mohamed Salah&x=0&y=0 so fits into Levy's tight wad style of buying. On a longish contract tho...

    Thoughts?

Looked good last week and caused us all sorts of problems. But was it a 1 off? Or has he been playing like this consistently?
My concern is signing another Egyptian who's full name contains the word "Ghaly". <laugh>

I always liked Ghaly. Not the most talented player in the World yet still capable of some fine moments in games, yeah he threw his shirt on the ground but didn't he play on until half-time when he had 3 teeth knocked out because Jol misunderstood a medic? Anyway he definitely scored against the Chavs and that's good enough for me.

Each to their own mate! He was just another random pile of **** that's somehow managed to play for us, IMO. 12 years of professional football and managed about 120 games. says it all for me.
If only we were as good at unearthing talent, as we've been at signing flops over the years....

Ghaly is Egyptian for Ghastly...I don't think its necessary to expand on that.

The guy impressed me too, gave us all sorts of problems but NSIS said I'd wanna see more of him before considering if he's good enough to play in the Prem.

As for Ghaly, I thought he was a good player for us, solid and had good technique, just a shame he acted like a prick that time when Jol subbed him and his actions ruined his career with us.

I can only go by his record, but he seems to score a lot of goals for a winger.
13 in 41 for his Egyptian side, 4 in 19 for Basel and for Egypt he's got 7 in 12 for the U20s, 14 in 21 for the U23s and 11 in 19 in full internationals.
All of his goals for the full national team have been against other African sides, but he did score against Brazil at the Olympics.
Gets a lot of assists, too.
