Modric has stated there's nothing written in his contract about other club interest, whats not clear though is if there's a trigger clause if a figure is offered, atm nothing mentioned that I've seen. If thats the case, and Mod hands in a request...its exactly that, a request, not a demand, and the answer will be no. All this "unhappy player" thing is crap imo. He then has 2 choices, refuse to play to the detriment of his club and International career, or get the fans back on side and play. He signed a contract, and if Levy is the first one to ride out a player/agent tantrum, one who was also foolish enough to not have something in his contract, then good on him.

Has he put in a transfer request? No. Until he does we're all just spinning our wheels.

For what its worth, a player who has any inkling that another club is interested, or maybe in the future will be, will have clauses all over a six year contract. But for the not so subtle media campaign by Chelsea, who have yet to table an official offer and his agent, our creative Croatian troll would be knuckling down to pre-season training.
