Tottenham star Luka Modric is due to meet chairman Daniel Levy today to discuss his future at the club.

The Croatian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club and stunned Spurs supporters by claiming he wanted to join Chelsea.

The Blues' £22 million bid for the playmaker was turned down and has been repeatedly ridiculed by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.

Redknapp and Levy claim Modric is not for sale and have refused to name their price for the player.

Both Manchester clubs would be interested in competing with Chelsea for Modric's services, and Redknapp has acknowledged that a big money offer would be difficult for both club and player to refuse.

But his departure would be seen as a backwards step in Spurs' attempts to regain their Champions League spot.
