So, they found his dummy, and have given it back to him, then.

It will be interesting to see what sort of form Rat Face is in when he plays for Spurs again.

its quite simple i think..levy has told him he can go if we dont get 4th this season

Levy saves face..modric gets his wish...

now im thinking this might mean that modric wont play focused and to his full potential as he doesnt want to be playing for us when he can triple his wage elsewhere...4th or not

Firstly, a year is a long time in football. Secondly, there would be very little point in Modric deliberately playing like a donkey - or not putting in the effort. That's hardly going to make him attractive to potential buyers. Plus, I don't think that, once he's on the pitch, he can play any differently to his natural game - it's instinctive.

he better pull his finger out then and outshine the likes of VDV and Bale or there will be a few stars upset as only him getting a £ incentive is like saying we got 4th due to him....

NSIS what im trying to say is that it wont over motivate him to suceed..as oppose to him underperforming deliberetly...

that what would benefit our club would be for him to really step his game up...but even if he doesnt hes in a win-win scenario

If he plays ****, his value will drop, less money for him if thats whats motivating him afterall.

This happened to Fabregas who continued to play well, they have to for their International prospects too I'd have thought.

I hope he doesn't get a bad reception...there will be a minority who will though...shamefully its happened before.

I have to say that after the way he's behaved recently, and particularly after dumping the club in the **** on Monday night, with his childish antics, he probably deserves a sharp reminder that he hasn't exactly increased his popularity with the fans at WHL.

Fabregas - if you ask an Arse fan (do this only if no-one is watching) or listen to the pundits wasn't the player he had been previously last season, though I'm not saying it was deliberate, more that his mind for all of last season was on this summers move.

I think that the same will apply to Modric, unfortunately. His value won't decrease because everyone knows the player he can be when he wants even if he's ****e this season for us AND, its got **** all to do with 'going home' or the prestige of Fulham Upper School, its all about the money.

Sorry, got to disagree here. Fabregas only ever wanted to go home. If he left Arsenal (sorry, when) it was only ever going to be to Barca.
Modrics' situation is different. It's unlikely that The Chavs will still be interested in a years time - they'll have found somebody else. So, if Modric still wants to go, then he's got to impress other potential buyers. He ain't gonna do that by playing ****.

    Difference of opinion then.

I firmly believe that IF Modric is still here next season, then no matter how he plays - good, bad or indifferent, the Chavs will buy him in next summers transfer window.

Agreed. Apparently they want a new central midfielder by end of the month so if it isn't Modric then it will be someone and then that could leave Modric with no1 else wanting him.

This is why I expect something to happen on deadline day.

Oh thanks for that King, IF we lose him on deadline day no matter what money comes in it will destroy our season and make us the laughing stock of the league.

Especially if ****ing Cole and Parker are his 'replacements'

Isn't it hypocritical to blame a professional soccer player for wanting to leave a club to get more money (or get more something else, whatever), when the whole of the EPL and lower leagues revolve solely around the survival of the wealthiest? If Arsenal try to become successful in the EPL by buying or recruiting foreign talent (because their manager believes that in this way he can build a team faster than with local players), or Spurs buy Serbian or Croatian stars thinking these will win them matches, why on earth should these players feel any loyalty to the club? They were bought and will be sold when the club thinks it beneficial to itself. To call players like Cesc and Modric "rats" or "cnuts" for wanting out is total s****, IMO. They're free agents and owe nothing to anybody.

But they're not free agents, they're employees being handsomely paid for their work, and by this token should work handsomely for their pay.
