Moderation of the Board

Dutch and I have discussed the situation with just us two being mods most of the time as Ricardo is rarely on these days. I suggested, and Dutch has agreed, that we should try and get another mod. The site admins have said we can have another mod on the City board, I think some other boards have more mods for less active boards than ours.

So basically if anyone wants to become a moderator of the Hull City board, they should say so on this thread. If anyone wants to nominate someone else who they feel would be appropriate then that's also an option but obviously that person might still not be interested. We'll leave this going for a few days so that most people get a chance to put their names forward. Then (assuming there's multilple options) we'll have a poll, probably on another thread, which will be for City fans only to vote on and we'll vote for the new mod. The only catch to that is that the site admins/supermods have the final say and if they feel someone is inappropriate they can vetoe it. I think that only really happens if someone has been in trouble with them a lot before though.

If anyone's unsure, moderation primarily involves merging, re-naming and just tidying stuff like that. We don't run the board or make any decisions or anything, there's already a set of forum rules which are pretty slack and they were decided by the board as a whole, not just the mods. You do get more PMs asking for stuff but it's not a big workload or anything. If you're already a regular poster/viewer, then it wouldn't take any more of your time.

EDIT: Just to also add for clarity as there seems to have been some confusion in the thread: no one is stepping down. It's just an extra mod we're after. So we'll have four instead of three.

OLM was a mod for a while and did a fine job. Not sure if he really wants to be one again. So I will nominate OLM and Macca.

I reckon one of the older posters or a female could add a bit to the board.

 

Since party lost out to PLT last time, I'd give him the gig by default if he still wanted it.

I think we should strike a blow for imaginative, left-field appointments by making AKCJ a mod. It would be fun for a while.

But failing that, Macca's pretty much always online so getting him to mod makes sense to me.
