Modding Notice

Being a mod on any forum is a delicate balancing act between encouraging free speech and protecting sensibilities, and while doing nothing is quite often the best option we think it is time for a reminder that we do have rules and we are here to uphold them. Of late there have been a number of posts which have contravened our personal abuse policy. Not wishing to “over mod” the forum we have so far done nothing in the majority of cases.


However we feel that we can no longer simply let it ride as the instances appear to be getting more frequent and more abusive. Hopefully a reminder now will stop this escalating any further and prevent us having to take any punitive measures. We have no desire to be continually issuing reprimands and bans, but if that is what is required to keep the few habitual offenders within the rules then we will, and, for the record, no slates have been wiped clean as a result of the changing of the guard. As ever, self moderation is the key, think before you post, failure to do so will be inviting the consequences.
