They have picked a great team and they have watched more football than me this season, can't argue too much against it.

It is a shame that with saints having the joint best defence in the league that there is no recognition of that.

Just a few weeks ago that CB position with the question mark was filled by Jose. They've gone all big club. Nothing changes in the media. They are so conservative.

Who cares. Saints are greater than the sum of their parts.

Watched this and there was some good analysis to support Koeman as manager of the year.

Carragher praised our defensive unit and how well drilled we were and pointed out that our first choice back four had only started 17 games, which shows that this organization comes from the training ground.

Neville looked at our attacking play and the clear organization involved. With the wide forwards (Long, Mane, Elia) all making similar attacking runs between full back and central defender.

And we could see with Villa, that you can't play a high line without the players/training to do it. We played a similar style under Pochettino and hardly ever got caught out by the ball over the top. Ron has made us even better...after supposedly losing 2 of our best defenders. Earlier in the season, Gary Neville showed how our defence are allowed to get out of position because the other players immediately adjust. Training, training, training.

Are we joint best defence with Chelsea - and is that post-last night, or pre-last night?

Saints and Chelsea have both let in 31 goals (as of today) so all to play for. :) Just repeat that: we have let in 31 goals in 37 PL games!!!
