He will need a huge financial incentive to make the switch to us over his prefered choice of the Dippers. The problem I have with this is its effect on the rest of the squad if it came off as everyone would know he would be top wage earner. I dont doubt the lads quality, or his impact he would have for us on the pitch but I guess I'm unsure of the worth of this deal at this moment in time.
I'm really not fussed about him. He's had one really good season, people are making too much fuss about him imo. Add to that his age (he has one, maybe two years left at the top of his game) and I just can't see he's worth the wages he's reportedly demanding, especially on a 4 year contract, as is rumoured?
