will lead us to the promised land. Can't remember the last time I felt this happy with my footy. Let the good times roll!!
Talking to a few of the older fans (I'm one too) before the Brum game, whilst there is a bit of realism most are very excited with the way MM is going about his business. One chap I talked to has been watching Cardiff for over 50 years, he said this year is his most contented for over 40 of them years. He said if we get beat it will be by a good team, there will not be any easy results for opponents, he said you can live with defeat as long as we give our all. I'm with him there.
Pish.............just a mere whippersnapper Rhondda. I definitely watched Peter Rodgrigues at Ninian sliding out the opposition wingers, and I've a vague recollection about seeing Tappy at some point. That must make me over 45 years on the hook since I was first taken to the shrine.
They're off again.
My first time at Ninian was 51 yrs ago, almost 52. And I agree with what was said before, this is one of the best times I can remember. but then at my age it's difficult to remember anything. KTF
Done some research and it was the 58/59 season. We finished ninth and Liverpool fourth and what's more we had a double over them, 3-0 at Ninian Park and 2-1 at Anfield. Actually the game at Ninian Park was on Valentines Day 1959. The season before we had a huge win in the Third Round of the FA Cup that season, 2-1 at Elland Road, which is in the Leeds history as one of their greatest games, the third time the clubs had met at this stage of the Cup in three seasons - and our third victory in a row. See here for details and enjoy: http://www.ozwhitelufc.net.au/04-01-1958 LUFC v Cardiff City.htm
you should post that on the weeds board rodosblue. They like their history over there, they're always talking about it.
