Hello everyone. Just got back from the game. Never been so disappointed in a Rangers 'team' performance before. The lack of desire and hunger from the players was such a disappointment. I felt sorry for the 5000 fans stood around me, who all paid £20+ to see what I just witnessed. The lack of pressure, running and movement was apalling.

Jamie Mackie was the only positive to come out of this game. His undeniable desire to win games is something that Warnock needs to install in all of the players.
I would have liked to have seen some youngsters given the opportunity to show what they can bring to the team in this game, because obviously there not going to get a chance in the EPL, so why not give them the opportunity? Although our youth academy isnt of the highest standard, I'm sure that there are players with a greater desire to play for the club, and win than those on the field today.

I was also embarassed for our club, and for our fans when MK Dons fans sung; Premiership, you're having a laugh. To which our so called 'supporters' joined in and verbally expressed their discontent at the performance. Chants like that are not doing anything for the morale within the team, and our own players began to turn on eachother instead of supporting eachother due to the verbal enslaught that they had to endure.

Our team needs alot more pace in it, and an alot more direct approach. MK Dons showed us how to counter attack today, and to quickly break. Something that our team could take note of.

    Player Ratings:

Cerny - Commanded his area the majority of the times. Solid shot stopper. Never looks like getting beat from a poor effort on goal.

Hill - Lack of desire to get forward and support the attack. Solid defending.

Hall - Should be banned from playing football at this level. His long punts contribute nothing positive to the team. If he was 3 inches smaller he wouldnt have made it as a footballer.

Gabbidon - Solid defender, and looks to play it out from the back. Faster than I thought he'd have been before he came to the club, but speed is still lacking from our team.

Young - Tried to support the attacks, but sometimes doubted his own positioning and experiences when debating whether to support or hold.

Derry (Buzsaky 77) - Derry was solid as usual. Doesn't take anything away from the team, but also doesnt contribute a massive amount either. In the Premiership you need every player to bring something different to the team.

Faurlin - Short passes were almost always completed, but some of his passes lacked any penetration, or didnt encourage the ball to move forward. Alot of backwards and sideways passes.

Campbell (Helguson 61) - Shocking performance from DJ Campbell. For someone who apparently supports the club he ran minimal. Didn't look interested.

Mackie - The only positive to come out of this game. Jamie Mackie's heart and desire to win.

Smith - One of very few players who ran forward with the ball. Added an attacking threat.

Macheda (Bothroyd 71) - Macheda had some great touches, and linked up nicely with DJ Campbell but he is obviously lacking match fitness. Bothroyd got the crowd going in the last few minutes as he brought a fresh momentum to the game.

Warnock - Not good. I really want him to be given the chance to succeed at this club, but his tactics, his team talks, his team selection, his substitutes just arent cutting it. Bothroyd and Helgusson were good sibsitutions. But, we shouldnt have had to wait till the 71st minute (when Bothroyd was introduced) to see encouraging signs in the team.

This is a team full of players who apparently have something to prove. Warnock has got Traore, SWP, Macheda, Bothroyd, and many more who he wanted to bring to the club to fufill their potential and prove their worth. However, none have really began to do that. This is also a team with iminent incoming arrivals. The scary part of that is of course the fact that noone looks like they have anything to prove, or offer that any new signing might have. These players should be fighting for their position in the team

    Good attendance today...

First of all, anyone who suggests that Warnock is a capable manager deserves a slap after that performance.

It was almost embarrassing to see the team put out such a dismal display against a side that rarely offered anything. The worrying signs appeared straight away when almost a full strength back line were struggling to even communicate properly with each other. Surely that is the first thing you work on when in a back 4?!

Secondly, the constant need to play the ball across the pitch four times before making a forward pass (normally to the opposition) is quite remarkable.

I could go on all day commenting on how poor we were today in every single position (except Cerny because he actually didn't have to do anything but pick the ball out of his own net twice), but to be quite honest the chairman now knows what he needs to do as they are a league 1 side who we should be brushing aside with ease.

Great to see a good turnout from the R's faithful, such a shame to see yet another dismal performance.

Thanks Rangers55 for that, nice to see your assesment of everyones performance.

This is all down to Warnock and his quite ridicoulus media management. At every oppurtunity since the last transfer window he's been on and on about bringing in more players when it opens again in january. What's wrong with keeping that to yourself Neil? Surely you couldn't have thought it would motivate your current squad?
