Is that long haired Jessie A Smith for Franchise FC the same ex Leeds and Newcastle player?

If he is, how have MK managed to get through the season with only 16/17 first team players? He's a right sick note!

When is this club going to drop the 'Dons' part of their name, as that has nothing to do with them!

-don as in wimbledon, breedon, hillingdon etc is a suffix in lots of place names meaning a hill. not a posession of any particular football club. dons as a noun is a plural of don, a university lecturer, nothing at all to do with any football club.

Except they stole it when they also stole Wimbledon and moved up to Milton Keynes. 'Dons' was Wimbledons nickname, nothing to do with Franchise, at least they had the decency to return possessions to Wimbledon relating to their FA Cup win.

Nothing ok about it, it's identity theft.

I would say i'd want the wessies to go up, but we never win there and that would add yet another boggy team to the list.

Well after the 1st leg of the league one play off games Huddersfield Town look far and away the best team of the 4. IMO, i would like Udders to come up as its a new ground to do. Not been to Udders since the days of Leads Road.

Any chance of Rotherham Utd away in the first round of the Carling Cup next season ? Would be Another new ground to do.

As someone who works in MK, I'd be well happy if the Dons go up. Plus, it makes me laugh how people with no clue but have access to the internet like to talk ****e about how the Don stole this or that.

Huddersfield never manage to make it, they make the playoffs every year and choke. I still can't believe Stevenage vs. Blackburn Rovers might be a Championship fixture next season.

So you're saying they didn't steal the 'Don' part of the name then? Despite moving WimbleDON AKA 'The Dons' up to Milton Keynes? No, of course not, it's purely ****ing coincidence. Yeah, Go MK!

You clearly have no idea about how that all happened, so do yourself a favour and stop typing about it. A little clue for you, you can't steal something you bought, paid for and owned.

The point is the whole debacle of buying, moving and rehoming in Milton Keynes was wrong, it is also wrong that they are using 'Don' as a part of the team name, couldn't give a **** if they 'bought' it, that doesn't make it right.

That is why MK Dons are probably one of the most disliked clubs in English football. Fans of our team where up in arms at the prospect of moving to Melton - what happened with Wimbledon was nothing short of disgraceful.

Don't you think something can be morally wrong even if it isn't legally wrong? This is the same kind of attitude that you've shown towards the Allams at City, that anyone who has money can basically do what they want in life and get away with it and there's nothing wrong with that. Bollocks. Just because someone is rich doesn't mean they can **** about with tradition, especially with something look a football club which so many people are passionate about.

Precisely that, owners are custodians of a club. It's akin to someone else buying our club, moving it to Cleckheaton, because they can, changing our strip to blue and yellow and naming the new club Cleckheaton Tigers AFC.

Nothing right about it in the slightest.

Why do you think the loophole that allowed MK to take over the Old Wimbledon club has now been closed.? It wont ever happen again. MK should have started at the bottom and worked up like the new AFC Wimbledon have done. Thats the reason that MK will never be popular.

O/T...After a dire Sheffield Utd beat a poor Stevenage team last night its got to be Huddersfield Town for promotion.
They look by far the best of the 4. Problem is will Udders Freeze again @ the Wembley Final. ?

I reckon MK Dons will win 2-1 tonight, and 'Udders will make it through 3-2 on aggregate.

Sheff United will beat them 2-1 in the final at Wembley.
