Whos there? I live in the south east, so will be making my way up on the train. Will be getting into Milton Keynes around 1pm for a few pints before the game. Any other posters at the match? It's a huge match and I can't wait for it.
I'm there from near Reading, not sure how yet. I'm meeting the lads somewhere, I'll find out which pub and take out it from there. Where are you based? I'm expecting another 'fast out of the blocks' start from us. It was soul destroying watching us play away under Ross. He'd do the old 'rope a dope' routine whereby he'd hope that sitting back, and allowing the opposition to tire themselves out, would enable us to snatch a goal late on. To be fair it was sometimes effective but bloody awful to watch. The noise levels suffered because we'd have nothing to cheer for long periods and the opposition would get their tails up. Saturday should be rocking.
Just about sold out and should be by Saturday ... ... our away support is top notch. It's close enough to Oxford so we'll see who turns up, could be interesting.
If you could let me know which pub you're meeting in I'd appreciate it. Not sure about parking either down there, the ground is by a retail park iirc?
I'll be there with my daughter. Driving up from Herts. Where are you travelling from? Looking forward to it. It's my daughters first Sunderland game, although she's been to plenty of non-league football so not her first game ever.
Just sorting out which pub now mate, there may be taxis involved as well. Had the word now, it's this pub then a bus to the ground. https://www.brewhouseandkitchen.com/venue/milton-keynes/
It is a big game... we need to make a short winning streak a long one hopefully Will not be there, listening radio probably
I'm based in Kent. So train into Euston and onto Milton Keynes for me. Will be getting into Milton Keynes around 1 i would imagine. Where are you based?
I'm currently in Newbury, Berkshire until Monday at which point I'm going back to France for a year or so. I'll have a look at trains and see if we can travel together.
Smug doesn't know where he's based, man . . . . my guess is 'of no fixed abode' or wherever I lay my hat
You're right there mate, this year has been crazy even by our standards. You should plan a visit around October when we'll be settled in and the nights are warm ... ... have a look at Carcassone, Mrs Armstrong will love it!
