Sunday dinner time on the television against MK Dons. Our last televised thrashing at Hillsborough in March, the day of leak gate. No shenanigans this time as the squad appear to be playing from the same hymn sheet.
What will Westley's side be, will he bring back is Stevenage buddies who appear to be undropable, who will he make a few changes from the side that got hammered at Oldham.
In to town come the Dons they have one well recently they have managed to keep eleven men on the pitch, they are there or thereabouts but not unbeatable.
They have the veteran Chadwick plus Alan Smith in their ranks, will it be trick or treat on the box, only certainty is that Robinson will find something to whinge about.

NEXTIE ? Thought he had gone to ground!
Hope the Lilywhites thrash the Franchised Ones. Nothing personal against the players or their supporters. Just the Franchisees!
I believe that Sodje has King type knees and that he has to be treated carefully by GW: can't play every game and when he does, he can only do at most 60 minutes. You have connections at the club Maclad, is it true?

Sure did. Have you tried PNE Online? That is where I read about Sodje's dodgy knees. There were some youtube clips of Trundle's tricks on there as well. The LEP site gets out of hand at times.
I am fed up to the back teeth with the tampering of fixtures by the TV companies. I realise that it is not fair for televised fixtures to be shown at the same time as other matches but some matches on a Saturday, some on a Sunday and a Monday match or two is ridiculous. In other countries, isn't it the case that a televised match goes out at the same time but not in the region it is being played. If this is so, does it work?
Whatever!! Let's hope NE put on a good show tomorrow. (Don't have Sky, gave it up because it got too exensive).

Been to watch Lancaster to day so have have got a game in, rarely go on either site, rather stick to the more intelligent sites. Viewing figures for tomorrow won't be great neither will the attendance. 1.15pm is a carp kick off time, interferes with dinner.
Believe the MK papers have been muck racking re our apparent hoof ball style of play with their gobby s**te of a manager having a pop.

In the end it was a fair result as Preston and MK Dons drew 0-0 at a chilly Deepdale in front of 8200, MK dominated the first half with their neat passing style they were quicker out of the blocks than the home side who looked lethargic through the first half.
Although the Dons had the majority of players chances were few and far betwee although a neat Beavon back flick nearly surprised Dons keeper Martin.
Experienced players Smith and Chadwick posed the main danger to the home side and it was Smith who was denied after 25 minutes, a fine defence slitting pass put Smith in the clear and only the extremely long leg of Stuckmann prevented the Dons from taking the lead. And that was that for the first half, the Sky highlights programmed at half time showed the chance and an offside nothing else featured.
North End started on the front foot in the second half, a determined run by Keane which led to Beavon going agonisingly close with a flicked chance. There was a huge shout for hand ball after a Dons defender possibly handled a Monakana shot, this was waved away by the referee. For once North End looked good at the back repelling what little the Dons tyhrew at them in the second half.North End looked the more likely to score with a Laird shot being saved at the foot of the post by Martin.
The game looked destined to be scoreless when the Dons maybe should have had a penalty when Stuckmann possibly brought down a on rushing forward, looking through my Arsene Wenger eyes thought the Dons player dived(TV replays suggested it was a blatant penalty)
A bit of handbags on the touchline following the non award between the two managers and that was basically that.

Preston North End 0 MK Dons 0 ATT 8257

The BBC commentator said that the game was dire & the only redeeming feature was Will Hayhurst and on the basis of that game, he could not see either team challenging the bigger clubs. When all is said and done, GW is putting out a young team: Hayhurst, Monakana, Wright, Amoo and there is some talent amongst that lot. If he persists with these, the team will improve & because of GW, we will not see the alleged tantrums of previous 'starlets'.

Has Nextie ever been on this site. I cannot recall having seen any of his musings. He seemed to be a businessman who made critical assessement of the financial management of the club. I seem to remember that in the last year of 606 he recommended that PNE should call in the administratros, accept relegation to Div ! (where we are now) and a -10 point hit. What I could not see was the way forward from there.
