    Mixed fortunes for the Scousers today. A Gerrard own goal gives West Ham a half time lead against Liverpool and two last minute goals give Everton victory over Spurs.

    I'd have rather seen Spurs win to keep Everton within striking distance, but at least a win at Fulham tomorrow means we'll be level on points with the 'pool. It'll mean just four points difference between Arsenal in 6th and us in 13th.

    Why does it matter where we are in relation to Everton or Liverpool? Am i missing something here.

    We need results because we're playing rubbish and don't want to get involved in a relegation fight, we can worry about results of other clubs when it gets to March/April and we have an idea of whether we've got an outside shot of europe (currently looking unlikely) or lying 15th.

    It's such a big game for us tomorrow, and a must win. A loss would mean 5 points off the top half with some tough fixtures to come, a win and we're 2 points off top half, with two league wins on the bounce before playing hosts to Man City.

    If we win tomorrow I could see us beating City, a defeat on the other hand and confidence will again be low and that's not what you need heading in to a home game against the champions.

    Liverpool are on 22 points now, they were 2 clear of us today before they kicked off.

    A boost indeed to beat City, could be that the confidence will be there to get us on an upward movement. Just hope for no more injuries.

    5 points ahead of us now and we've only 1 game in hand.
