You'd hope there's a sell on clause. He may struggle, get relegated with them and his value would still be £15m+. Alternatively he could easily score 10-15 goals and they survive and then in a few years time when he's at his peak go for £40m+ to a top half of the table side. In all honesty I think he'll have a better career than whoever we get to replace him.
Games to goals for Rondon: For Gayle: Their records in the Premiership are similar. Gayle scored a bagful in a worse league but in fairness the most goals Rondon has ever scored in a season in any league is... 14. That was 8 years ago. I don't get it. He's really not very good and a perfect example of the level of player Mitrovic will become if he doesn't develop.
He simply isn't. He will be cheaper though and probably accept lower wages (Mitro was reportedly on quite a bit) and we need to save money due to overspending so far in the transfer window. We've simply splashed out too much on players so far and need to claw it back.
We can't afford that sort of outrageous fee nowadays mate. Get with the times, no club is paying any money for any players any more.
Shame he's going to some extent. But, its down to Rafa, make no mistake about that. If you trust in Rafa, take it on the chin and move on.
