Northern Ireland is outperforming England and Wales when it comes to the percentage of pupils achieving five or more GCSEs at grade A* to C.

In Wales the average was 49.6%, while it was 58.2% in England and 60% here, according to the summary of annual exam results.

    Of 213 post-primary schools, 78 were above the Northern Ireland average — 68 grammars and 10 non-grammars.

Northern Ireland A-level students have once again outperformed those in England and Wales.

The overall pass rate - those with grades A* to E - was the same as last year at 98.1%.

But the number of A* grades, which were introduced for the first time in 2010, did fall slightly from last year, down to 8.6% of those taking the exams.

More than 23,000 Northern Ireland students received their results on Thursday

Shivers and Duffy are innocent though. I thought you'd pulled it yourself.

"You thick paddies" refers to you/Jakey/Medro/PlasticRebel/Mindy (he's as good as).

I know that the entire population of Ireland does not post on not606.

You've just justified my 'thick paddy' comment <doh>

I tell you to **** off, there's a massive difference.

I had no knowledge of Ireland pish or anything to do with it before joining not606, I bit like I don't know much about the current state of the Latvian economy.

It's a ****ty little island no one apart from you ****s care about.

Yet EVERY ****ing day on here the same pish comes up <doh>

Stop being a pathetic little plastic freedom fighting victim, sort your ****ty life out and come back to me <ok>

Aye they seem to be a bit watered down, thousands of kids with useless degrees working in call centres.

Was it a 2:2 you scored in yours Toby?
