Not sure where he'd fit in this season. Like you I rated what I saw last season but he'd be behind Ameobi and Noone in the current pecking order.

Don't agree Stevo - he's as good a prospect or even better than Ameobi and far more versatile than Noone.

Despite the good press (deserved) that Ameobi got after the game Saturday, he remains something of an enigma for me. He looks awkward and not in control of himself let alone the ball half the time - I remain to be convinced.

Noone can be a match winner but apart from his goal when he came on against Fulham, his wonder strikes have dried up. He all too often tries to do too much rather than a "give and go" that his pace merits.

McAleny is still young but almost a complete player behind a front man - if possible we should have tried to get him back for the season.

You never have liked an enigma Sparks <laugh>

I think Ameobi could be the one to change your mind though <ok>

I think Slade has had one - he's had a good clearout at the club. <yikes>

Stevo - that could be the answer for Macheda too - a couple rammed up on the treatment table and maybe we'll see some movement from him......<laugh>

We've always said we need a bit of pace to get in behind.

I agree with you Spark mate <ok>. He was a very threatening player and would get us goals. I fear Sammy still needs to get his fitness up, he looked absolutely nackered running down the right wing against Huddersfield after ONE run, but proved once again he is a game changer and to me, he always looks a threat when on the ball.
