Stating the obvious here, but with what's been going on at Leeds it is clear that we simply can't afford to miss promotion. Last Summer saw Gradel and Schmeichel being sold, and regardless of the "reasons" offered there was only one - money in the bank!! The sale of Howson has backed this up, and again Bates is quick to blame the player. Expect Snods, Clayton and White to follow if we don't get promotion, and maybe Lees and McCormack as well. Our club is now ailing not because we're skint, but because our money us not being used wisely. The first thing to do is invest in the playing squad and ensure a swift return to the Prem, then by all means go and build **** around the ground. Bates has a plan in place, the only thing is that it's seriously flawed, and to back it up he keeps replaying the fear card - do Leeds fans really want to go back to the Ridsdale days? Well, we can still spend money on quality players without going bust Mr Bates, it just takes a little bit of commin sense to understand that. If you would just cease to be bitter and twisted, stop getting involved in silly court cases and then use Leeds United's money to pay for it, maybe this club can progress in a way its loyal supporters deserve.
