As you know I was born in England and am a non national with no petty insular grievances against anyone. So it pains me to see the arrogance some English people display despite having nothing to be arrogant about and in fact plenty to be ashamed of. A shame for the decent majority in England. Must be a bit awkard being so despised by so many. Best wishes to Prince Philly. I have many good Greek friends and enjoy their company.
No Man of the Earth. Nationalistic jingoism is not my blag. I love all and treat people with respect and humility.
I watched the old firm last night and quite frankly it was a load of old pony...... Lg1 standard players......
Strange thing that, most of us are pleased to be born where we were. Nice to see that you realise just how lucky you are Archers. It's the secret to a healthy life. Onya mate.
I like all who reciprocate likewise. Im not full of petty hatred like yourself Mick. You constantly slag off English people because of your in bred insecurities and warped world view. I still think under all the bluster you are a very nice chap though. Relax and treat people like you would like to be treated. Youre too young to have such a chip on your shoulder son. And yes I like ST as well.
I think you will struggle to link me to a post of me slagging off English people - indeed most of my best friends are English having lived among mostly English peers for the best part of 7 years. I do have a chip on my shoulder though, having moved back from the Mediterranean to the British Isles and suffered the consequential degradation in standard of living I've come to the conclusion that the British Isles are the collective arsehole of Europe - although I do have a special place in my heart for both London and Dublin, where there are enough interesting foreigners to cancel out a lot of the domestic backwardness.
Britain has been going downhill for years and is now as bad as Ireland and Greece. Harsh but true. All three are on the verge of being Third World Countries.
Most countries are arrogant about their own, looking at it another way it's called pride. I find the french arrogant but then this is generalising, I'm sure there are good and bad everywhere in the world - even Irish (Mick) lol. There is a member on our forum who hates yanks. Truth is we are pretty isolated right now and have very few "friends" in the world. Ive no doubt that England/Britain has declined in recent times but to call it "third world" is way, way over the top - ridiculous statement!
