Before I start this is a rant and I make no apology for that. I had to make my annual trip to the Tax Office to pay my road tax and, as usual, it was a miserable experience. The staff were ****ing clueless so obviously they were slow as ****, there was a ****ing queue out the door at 9.30 in the morning, and the other customers were fat and by all accounts looked like there would be more intelligence in my last ****e. What was their answer to the queue out the door? Close one of the windows and make things even slower. What a stupid pile of ****e. Another thing, why can't people go to the ****ing Tax Office with everything ready - forms filled in, payment ready etc? They would be able to go in, do what they needed and leave in a couple of minutes. Instead they spend 20 ****ing minutes filling out the ****ing forms at the ****ing window. I am ****ing tired of ****ing incompetence. Rant over.
I prefer human interaction but unless the competence levels improve by next year I may have to do that in future.
Sam - you're a hypocrite. You moan about forms not being completed -but your post is riddled with asterisks. It's taken me 20 minutes trying to read it.
Post offices, banks and the like are dreadful these days - someone always trying to sell you something you don't want or making appointments for you that will empty your wallet rather than fill it as they promise - online is the way to go Sam.
The reason why I have it on is because I can guess what has been said and I and I would prefer that my visionary senses are offended in a more intellectual manner. By the way - I totally agree with your original sentiments.
