After the footballing lesson the Chairboys handed out to the Gills on Mondayâs live Sky Sports game next the Chairboys entertain the Minstermen at the cathedral of football in Buckinghamshire that is Adams Park and having won 8 and drew 2 of the last 12 all Chairboys but be confident of the first double of the season. With no new injury worries a settled squad is expected I would like to see Matt McClure starting up front but with his injury record and prolific scoring from the bench best keep him as super sub. I am expecting all three points and will be leaving Adams Park 5pm on Saturday as Mister Happy. http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=308232
i am hoping for 3 points here, if we play the same as we did against gillingham we should thrash them! im going for a 3-0 win with mcclure x 2 and grant scoring and is morgan suspended? didnt he get his 5th yellow at gills or ami making this up?
I believe if you recieve 5 yellows before 31st Dec 1 match ban after that just a warning and if you recieve 10 yellows before second Sunday in April 2 match ban please correct me if I'm wrong
That seems right Guy. Found this. Presumably League 2 have the same rules as the Premiership "ANSWER PROVIDED BY REFEREE JOE MCHUGH According to the FA Disciplinary Rules if a player receives 5 cautions between the first day of the season and 31st December they will be suspended for a period of 1 match . If a player receives a 5th caution after the 31st December they will be warned as to their future conduct. If a player receives 10 cautions between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be suspended for a period of 2 matches. Players from the Premier League have benefited from the change to the date of the yellow card amnesty with the cut off date for five cautions now reduced to 31 December. Previously, players collecting five yellow cards prior to the final day in February were subject to a one-match suspension. Sanctions for players accumulating 10 and 15 cautions remain in place as do their respective amnesty periods. In summary Joey Barton will not be suspended for one game on reaching 5 cautions after the 31/12/2010 but he does carry forward the 5 cautions and he will face a two game suspension should he reach 10 cautions by 10th April 2011."
I would guess that the team that lined up on Monday was probably the best we have put out for some time, particularly with Matt McClure coming off the bench. I couldn't single out any player that played poorly. They were all up for it and looked very dangerous on the break. No better sight than seeing players break out in numbers to catch their opponents on the break and chasing back as quickly if it falls down. If they show the same commitment tomorrow they should win. My main worry would be that in York's last 3 away games Gillingham, Cheltenham and Fleetwood have managed to find the net just twice between them, nor could they manage more than 1 point apiece. On that basis this is beginning to look like a 1-1 draw (6/1).
good then, i expect that will effect archer as well with his numerous time-wasting bookings later on in the season
**** me. Captain hits the bar then within 30secs heads it in to make it 4-0. This is great stuff. Any York fans still there? They were leaving at 3-0.
Brilliant substitutions from Gareth, including putting himself on, to rest Grant, McClure and Morgan.
Just 5 points off play offs and looking damned good guys!. Helps to put the smile back on my face after watching yet another pathetic defensive display by Norwich
Cheers Thai. Looking at Burton, in the 3rd auto promotion spot, we are just 8 points behind them with 2 games in hand How did that happen?
Can't wait for the lads to get home and tell us all about it. Probably pissed. please log in to view this image
fantastic result and performance from the whole squad today, we really look like play-off contenders at the moment. grant goal was certainly a goal of the season contender!!!! bring on bradford
Another great result and i can't believe the turnaround under Gareth Ainsworth, who'd of thought before Christmas that we'd be anywhere near the play-offs? Look forward to seeing the goals later and the result makes me determined to go to Bristol Rovers which should be a cracker as they are also on a good run of their own.Happy days to be a Wycombe fan.
