So you've no Greek ancestry then ?

Would like all the juicy gossip myself so we'll just have to wait and see if elland's willing to spill the beans.

    Actually now you mention it...

He did used to post a lot about Maltese Mick and the protection offered by where the site was registered.

Means absolutely nothing to me and I did wonder how he knew such things but there you go.

Nice place apparently...unless you're riding your bike round a blind bend in the pouring rain at 100mph.

Steve was just sounding off. He regretted what he said and made a sincere apology.

    That's good enough for me.

Life's too short to bear grudges!

Nothing juicy at all. It was an empty threat.

    He regretted it.

    He apologised sincerely.

    I accepted.

    We move on.

Everybody makes mistakes, and imo as long we we learn from them I don't have a problem.

Life's too short to bear grudges? Clearly not Glory's view, is it?

It wasn't just you that would have been affected if he had achieved what he set out to do, was it? Despite what he says, this was not merely 'sounding off', was it? It was vindictive threatening behaviour. Threatening what we have here. I for one don't take kindly to that.

Would you have forgiven him if he achieved what he set out to do?

'Apology' is the easiest use of a word to get out of a situation, yet it generally means absolutely nothing. How many times have you phoned Virgin, British Gas or some other place to find a message telling you that they are sorry you're having to wait 40 minutes to speak to someone, but it's due to unexpected demand. You hear it every call. If they were indeed sorry, they'd try to remedy it by putting more personnel on the phones, for example. But they don't. They think use of the word 'apologise' exonerates them. But at least they have a stab at telling you why they're sorry, even though it's bollox. 'Sounding off' is not an acceptable reason. It's a cop-out glib phrase for thegullible to swallow. This was an attempt to bring us all down. Tell me, if Glory called your employers & accused you of being a rapist of paedophile, then said sorry, would that be ok too? Perhaps he would be kind enough to give you a lift to the Job Centre.
