The 19 year old central defender joins on loan from Spurs for the rest of this season. Tells me 2 things: RD not learning his lesson. RD not spending any money in January.
Goes ahead of Gomez in the pecking order in central defense, making Joe 5th behind the Big Two plus Onyewu. I found it a bit worrying that Gomez said in the last program that he'd feel a bit rusty if he was asked to play there.
I don't think he will play in central defence. He played on loan at Middlesborough as a defensive midfielder.
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/professionals-profiles/milos-veljkovic/ Can not of impressed that much at Boro, went on Oct 16th debut 8th Dec, played 3 now at Charlton
It seems to me that we are going back to the bad old days under Parky, when through necessity we became a team of joureymen. Remember the likes of Abbot, the Sodjes, Benson, Hayes, McCormack etc Now look at us with this kid, the Serb keeper, Onyeuchi, Bulot, Moussa, maybe Marc Antoine Fortune etc- and tell me we are better off ? Is RD seriously saying we are going for the Premier League with this lot.
The Middlesborough Manager came out in the Press and praised him. I spoke last night to my mate who is a Spurs fanatic and he says he is highly thought of. He is captain of the U21s. Tim Sherwood spoke very highly of him.
Is he Belgium, related to a Belgium, or ever played in Belgium? I'm wondering why too we're signing a defender, when it's obvious to everyone that we're lacking a bit of creativity in midfield to create chances for our strikers. That's what we need, and that's what we should look to bring in.
If this is the Coquelin replacement then I'm done. We should be moving heaven and earth to find another him. It wouldn't be easy, but you need to spend to get a player like that. So I guess I've answered my own question there...
Well they're on tv pretty much every week. You must have missed the countless misplaced passes around their box.
