After 2 poor defeats Town make the trip darn to Sarf London for a vist to the Lions Den to play Ian Holloway's Millwall. This will be Holloway's first Home League game in charge at the Den so we can expect a very tough game. We have only won 1 in the last 8 in the League with too many draws to blame for this disappointing return of points. Our record at the Den isn't great as we have failed to win their in yonks but we have picked up some draws in recent encounters. Who can remember that wonderful 0-0 from last season when we were fighting for our lives near the bottom of the table? Both sides desperately needs the 3 points for different reasons! Millwall need the win to pull away from the bottom 4 and we desperately need the win to stop the rot and push on towards the top 6 once again. I honestly fear that a loss for Town will deal a near fatal blow to any remaining aspirations of a play-off place. Under Mick we have never lost 3 in a row so I hope that we can carry on this record tomorrow and I reckon that a 1-1 is probably the most likely outcome. I am sure that Mick will have worked extra hard with the players after the loss at Preston to concentrate on defending as we have fallen into the habit of conceding sloppy goals again. There is one pretty amazing stat from this season so far: We have the worst record in the division for throwing away points after taking taking the lead and yet we have the Best record of taking points when going behind! Thats Weird! Anyhoo I'm going for a squeaky Bum 2-1 WIN Smith Dids COYB
Fair assessment warky, and as obvioud as it sounds, i going to stick my neck out for a banker 1-1 draw. We'll go 1 up as usual, and then they'll eqaulise and will then start to pepper our goal.
As the last 2 times i have predicted a win and we have lost, im going for 2-1 Millwall, Murphs with our goal. Lee Martin to get sent off, and spanish to suck off holloway at half time!
2-2...we take the lead twice....twice we throw it away! As Warky says, we could then start a freefall, but I have been much heartened and entertained by our general performance and level of commitment this season. A spanking win, with four key players back on the pitch, and we go back on the game COYB!
I've got a good feeling about this, we'll frustrate Millwall go 1-0 and then as it's a Holloway team they'll go gung ho to get back in it and we'll score another late on, on a breakaway. McGoldrick and Taylor
Morning all. A must win as Warky says. Stop the losing habit. Another game with a new manager for the opposition This will be a hard game for sure. Millwall need to move away from bottom we need to stay in touch with play offs. With that in mind I'm going for a 2-2. Dids and Taylor.
A **** performance today by all accounts but that happens every now and then, Mick needs work on a few things on the training pitch by the sounds of it. Can't win them all lets move on to the next match....still a long way to go this season.
