The two sides last met three seasons ago. Millwall edged past ten men Leeds in Bermondsey, though Bielsa's Whites got their revenge in a five goal thriller later that season. The hatred between the two clubs are well documented, but the return of Jamie Shackleton and Charlie Cresswell may soften the mood somewhat. The duo spent last season on loan at Millwall, helping them to an eighth place finish, a point shy from the play offs. Leeds are a point, and three places below their bitter rivals, but have a very different side to the one(s) Bielsa put out against the Lions that season. Only Bamford, Cooper and Ayling have survived the tests of time, but all three are set to miss out. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Cooper and Bamford are both recovering from injury, whilst new signing Djed Spence is expected to replace Ayling at right-back. Charlie Cresswell will probably start on the bench, with Farke preferring Messrs Roden and Struijk as the centre back pairing. Junior Firpo is nearing a return to action, but having not played since last season, is likely to start on the bench, once he regains his fitness. With Dallas and Byram sidelined, the gaffer may call on either Leo Hjelde (who impressed on International duty recently with Norway's U21's) or Jamie Shackleton (as an inverted left wing-back) as cover. It has been rumoured that Archie Gray will drop to the bench in favour of either Glen Kamara or Ilia Gruev, with fellow new recruit Jaidon Anthony also expecting game time on Sunday. Farke needs to decide on either Joel Piroe or Georginio Rutter for the number nine role, which could see the young Frenchman dropping to the bench after a disappointing show against Sheffield Wednesday, before the International break. Casper de Norre may return to action for Millwall. He returned to the bench against high flying Birmingham City before the International break. Fellow midfielder George Honeyman misses out with a quad problem. Recent purchases Allan Campbell and Ryan Longman will be hoping to make their debut's for the home side.
We need a win to start climbing the table but a draw might be the best we can come away with. Truth is no one knows what side we're going to put out, or how we'll perform as there are plenty of variables and too many unkowns.
We’re the best team in the division I honestly expect us to win every game, I know we won’t, I know we’ll come up against 10 man defences, I’m sure we’ll keep improving each week though.
Welcome back to the Championship where we will be Millwalls biggest game since...well...the last time we came to town. Rinse and repeat from here.
Off topic....but Eddie Gray's son Stuart has revealed he is suffering from a very rare bile duct cancer at the age of 49 the prognosis isn't the best with this condition and one can only hope that his immediate family have the courage and fortitude that will be needed.... I'm sure all Leeds fans will be in unison with our hopes and good wishes for him and the family...
Start rutter and we can say goodbye to 3 points. I just hope Farke has a ruthless streak and picks the best players. Non of this it's his shirt to lose nonsense because he did ok last time. Poveda needs keeping away till after his court case as he may do time.
Byram, James back Spence injured slight knock but may miss Millwall. Bamford and Firpo still out. Dallas getting better.
Time for a wild guess at Sunday's starting line up and substitutes; Meslier Ayling, Rodon, Struijk, Shackleton Gray, Ampedu Summerville, Piroe, Gnonto Rutter Bench; Darlow Byram Cresswell Hjelde Kamara Gruev James Anthony Joffy On paper a very strong looking squad and with Spence, Cooper, Firpo, Bamford and maybe Dallas still to come back in there will be some disappointed players over the coming weeks when they don't make the match day squad.
We knews the krays we did you norvern ****bags so iv you fink you got the minerals well let's do iiiittt....lock,stock and two smokin jellied eels
Hopes dashed a little. We have Manc supporting, Leeds hating Chris Kavanagh in charge tomorrow. No VAR, so the twat as free range.
Just a reminder to myself, and any others noon kick off, 13-00 here. No schoolboy errors of forgetting to stack the fridge etc.
