Millwall have turned down a £200,000 deal to see QuickQuid printed on the the players shirts, they decined it for ''Ethical reasons''. So that's them and Bolton. We should have done the same with Cash Converters
But we're getting £1-2 million from them every year? Economically they're very good for us, and they do try to get involved with the club which is good in my opinion.
It also really isn't comparing apples with apples, certainly not when we agreed our contract anyway. Quick quid are purely a payday loan company, while cash converters were mainly a place for you to trade in your own goods for cash. Unfortunately it does seem CC are going down and growing more and more through the payday loan side of the business but we are now tied in two a contract that so there is not much we can do about it.
Our contract is up next season isn't it? I prefer it when we're sponsored by local companies but then again, the money they offered to sponsor us was hard to turn down at the time
We've got £1m from them in total and even that was dependant on us being promoted to the Premier League for the final year. It's the worst kit sponsorship deal in the Premier League, we're getting about £500k for this season, the lowest amount for any Premier League club. In the last released figures(2010-11 season), the lowest amount was Blackburn on £1.5m a season. QPR got £2.3m a season in the Championship ffs.
If we stay in the EPL you would think a company like Smith and Nephews or Reckitts with the world wide sales would find it of interest.
Did you know that one of the original Smith family, was called Horatio Nelson Smith. What a great name...
I never knew that, and your right what a great name to have. Austin Healey was another great name to have.
