Interesting weekend game this. First of 6 games Sat/Tues/Sat/Tues/Sat/Tues that is going to go some way to defining all 24 teams seasons. I will be able to give my honest assessment on Mick/ the squad/ and everything else by then.

We were superb second half at Derby, infact quite unlucky not to win the game. Should we continue to play like that, we will definitely have a realistic shot of the play offs. That's not just me being a blind Ipswich fan, it's clear. However........... how likely is that to happen!?!?! Mick was forced into a couple of changes as opposed to perhaps wanting to do them, so it'll be very interesting what team he goes with for this game.

Side note - YES Ambrose! I hope Carlos gets a decent ovation but doesn't net !

Millwall under Holloway ( thus far ) appear a much transformed outfit. This will be quite some test.

    Team =

Hard to call this. Chambers went off h/t with concussion, and the back four was much more balanced without him ( he actually wants to play cb but is forced to play rb )

Bru was decent in spells but not physically and often drifted out of the game.

Tabb was WAAAYYYYYY better in the middle, and Henshall gave a good 20 minutes. Bishop was fantastic.

Skuse is back............. hmm! Decisions to make.......

    Gerkin

    Chambo/Smith/Berra/Parr

    Ando/Hyam/Tabb/Henshall

    McGoldrick/Murphy

I think this could be an entertaining 1-1 2-2 draw. Hope for 3 points as ever though.

Would rather see Bishop in the middle for his progression but think Tabb is better here than out wide, could Ambrose play here because I want to see Henshall starting on the left?
Ando needs to play well or his position could be under threat.
My biggest hope is that Skuse doesn't walk straight back in.
I'll go for an unexpected 3-1 win for us, with Ambrose scoring at least one. Mcg will get one and Parr from a corner.

Oh Skuse will start and Bishop will be dropped, if that happens it will be a disgrace!! Town 1-2 Millwall.

I agree Spanish if Skuse waltzes straight back into the side after what I saw at Derby I am going to be very very p***ed off for sure.

That said, if he does I'll wish him the best and if he has a superb game then fair enough. There is a lot more to come from Skuse for sure, when we get to the point of having two actual wingers outwide we may see more from him.

Ambrose surely will be part of the 18 but I'd be amazed if he starts this one.

Considering Millwalls start and the Holloway 'all out attack' philosophy then I would expect MM to go for Skuse safety rather than a relative rookie. Having said that I was amazed at how we set up at Derby so hopefully I will be wrong.

Mick does seem every now and then to do something a bit different.

Last season away at Brum = 5 changes.

The 3-2 win at Blackpool, went very attacking second half. Made subs.

1-1 draw at Derby just gone. Second half, play pass/move footy.

I think we'll perhaps wisely go back to results footy tomorrow. Holloway teams are somewhat gungho, and are often not the best at the back.

If we actually play Tabb lm tomorrow with Edwards and whoever their winger is down the right we could get done on that flank. With Parr hopefully at LB it's time to have faith from the start with a more attacking option I hope and take the game to Millwall. In my eyes anyway!

For me the team has to be,

    Bialkowski

    Chambers
    Berra
    Smith
    Parr

    Ambrose or Anderson
    Hyam
    Bishop
    Henshall

    Dids

    Murphy

    Think it will be,

    Gerken

    Chambers
    Berra
    Smith
    Parr

    Anderson
    Hyam
    Skuse
    Tabb

    Dids
    Murphy

Surprising line up but decent result. Not surprised to see Skuse walk back into the team but surprised it was for Hyam. Also surprised to see Smith drop out, looks like it might be curtains for Hewitt, not even in the 18!!!

Sorry but Hewitt has been gash so far this season he needs to up it, and up it quickly. Glad he's not in the squad for now - he'll get his chance again I'm sure :)

He's only 19 isn't he, big future for sure :)
