Baxter - clean sheet and some great saves Seri - composed on the ball and good passes Woods - backed up Seri very well A great battling performance from all the team . Well done boys Come on City
Lots of solid performances today. Seri, class player and kept going to the end. Woods, not the most gifted footballer but very effective till he was subbed. Figgy, I thought was much more solid today and made a lot of good clearances. Really hard to fault any of the players apart from Pelkas who was well off it. Big up to the Millwall commentators, they gave City a lot of credit when they realised that there were two teams on the park.
Baxter SerI Figs The latter because I am finally beginning to see why we bought him. Has improved steadily over the last few games after being ****e squared for pretty much the rest.
Seri - after the slating’s I’ve given him, I didn’t expect to be saying he was my MOM, his passing was good, his on the ball was neat, & lots of little flicks that came off too. Hopefully more to come. Woods - worked hard in the middle, looked good with his passes, shut a lot down, what we’ve needed. Christie - another who worked hard at the back & going forward, the bit where he slipped, I thought he was going to get back up, but didn’t.
Longman Jones Greaves Great battling performance to hold out with only 10 men. I like Oscar but we look much better with Longman up top. Baxter should be in there for great saves and catches but his distribution - which was his huge strength when he came into the side last season - seems to have gone down the pan. Someone near me was moaning about Longman. That I find unbelievable.
Seri Jones Greaves Not easy to choose, everyone had a good game, though Pelkas the game passed him by, unfortunately.
Seri - A very professional performance. Outstanding distribution. Always around the ball. Baxter - Some outstanding saves. Would like to see a more creative distribution. Greaves/Woods - Both had excellent games. Great team effort particularly with 10 men. Well done lads and Rossie !
