Asking for a video replay to be stopped is now a criminal offence? Even if the ref had seen it there’s nothing he could have done after awarding the goal.

Refs get decisions wrong all the time, it’s part of why football is so wonderful.

Football is being spoiled, in my unsubstantiated opinion. by the introduction of ginmicks like goal line technology & VAR to assist the refs. They do nothing to enhance the game for spectators but do pander to the needs of the armchair fans. You appear to believe it was spoiled when racist chanting & Stanley slashing was outlawed.

Basically I think the cameras pointing at the game are spoiling the fun whereas you believe it’s the cameras pointing at the crowds that are spoiling it.

Don't remember similar hysterics when that twat from Arsenal punched the ball into the goal in a televised game at Arsenal between 'plucky little hal' in the Premier league a couple of years ago.

The days of Arsenal-biased pundits and studio panels must come to an end sooner or later. Dixon, Keown and 'Wrighty' don't have any 2019 equivalents, plus that generation actually won silverware and can speak with authority unlike the Arsenal of today.

Perhaps they'll have specialist goal celebration experts in the future?
