Have to say, very poor showing today. Barnsley were poor themselves, after the first 5 minutes, and never really threatened, but our passing was awful, couldn't convert the opportunities of which there must have been about 10 decent scoring opportunities, and although Jimmy was once again our best player, McQoid disappointed me today. This was his shot, to start a game and play well, but he was very poor. Normally I wouldn't mind if a player was having a mare as long as they try but he didn't run after anything, didn't challenge, and just complained at his team mates - perhaps his confidence was knocked after missing the open goal, but still no reason to not chase things down. I would have liked to see O'Brien given a shot up there, with McQoid being taken off just after half time. Marquis did fairly well after coming on, put himself about. Very little link up between defence and attack, perhaps we rely on Trotter too much. Hoping we're better against West Ham, we'll need to be to avoid humiliation as their Midfield is much better than Barnsleys
I dunno where Jimmy gets his energy from, especially as he is fasting at the moment for ramadan (so is bouazza).
