LCFC have made a bid for center back KEVIN WILSON, 26, from Celtic in a swap deal with MATT MILLS according to bbc gossip.

This one did the rounds last week - Has to be said I didn't read one positive comment about Wilson from a Celtic fan, I suppose he'll be cheaper on wages if nothing else

I was´nt sure if it had as it was an old story. I was fishing in Holland for 3 days & then straight into painting after work so I ain´t been on here properly for a while.

Ref if he´s any good or not, I´m going to trust NP fully over the summer, he does have a good eye for a player. Reminds of MO`N in a way, you know looking at the lower lges or for res players.

If a bid has been put in, then it's almost certain that Celtic will accept it. I would have preferred straight cash for Mills and I'm not sure what to make of Wilson as a player. The Celtic fans clearly don't rate him, the Forest fans have a generally more positive view, bearing in mind that at this time he had just walked out on them. http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=25690

As a back-up I think he'll do and it might indicate that Bamba could be on his way out. He'll also have played with Morgan previously and those two had a good partnership together at Forest.

Wilson has been blighted by injuries at Celtic and was once a fan favourite alongside the mighty Wes at Forest.

Better than Mills earning by doing **** all.

Would rather someone better than Wilson though. I still wouldn't give up on Chester, if Nige has to spend 3m then IMO it's worth it.

4m and throw Stewart in there, too.

Surely Celtic are throwing in a bit of cash with the deal. Mills is a better player then Wilson and we paid 4M for him just 12 months ago. Surely the owners cant be happy letting him go on a free

I spoke to a couple of my Forest-supporting mates about Wilson and they said he was inconsistent and injury-prone. Maybe a case of sour grapes, but they didn't have a bad word to say about Morgan.

If we are in for Wilson it can only be with Wes Morgan's recommendation ....... I also believe a move to Celtic is ideal for Mills to be able to re-build a career now somewhat tarnished by his move to us .... makes sense all round - but this is 'silly season' i.e if the press have no real stories they will 'massage' anyting that has a sniff of being possible ..
